Luxon
HID Lighting with pulse start Metal Halide lamps provides an attractive white light that approximates daylight. When combined with electronic ballast technology it becomes an innovative, energy-efficient lighting system. This new Nedap Light Controls technology is ideal for large manufacturing facilities, Cold Storage, Sports Arena, Parking lots, Airports, DIY stores and big box Retail. Nedap Light Controls launched the Luxon brand in 2009 as a new solution for electronic HID ballasts. Luxon extends the HID lamp life and offers energy savings from 30 to 65%. The Luxon e-HID ballast range is available from 250W up to 2.000W.
30 to 65% energy savings for high bay lighting
Luxon e-HID ballasts in a lighting network can be controlled per fixture or in multiple groups. A Luxon network is operated by 1-10V signal or through wireless functionality; ON, OFF or in continuous dimming mode. The installed network can be upgraded easily by the introduction of time control, through motion-sensors and a Lux-sensor. In high bay facilities with windows and skylights admitting daylight, you can automatically dim the light groups in a specific section. In hangars the settings can be adjusted to deliver extreme light levels needed for high-precision maintenance jobs on airplanes. Such lighting may vary from left to right and day by day; flexible lighting and task control go hand in hand with Luxon! Retailers use the professional Luxon platform to dim the lighting at certain locations with low interest products. Further energy savings on lighting can be achieved when there are no customers in the shop. The installation of motion sensors introduces intelligent dimming for all the aisles and for specific areas.
A Luxon e-HID ballast provides detailed and realtime lamp/ballastdata such as operational hours, energy use, lamp status and lamp failure report, dim level and much more. . Thanks to the wireless interface, Luxon wireless software can support maintenance contracts in the near future. Nobody needs to go anywhere; maintenance services will be analysed via the internet and can be prepared up front. As the Luxon wireless system does not need any additional wiring for dimming, it is extremely flexible and will deal with any change of the floorplan. Just a few minutes work on the light settings with your laptop is all it takes!
