Full-Stack Software Developer
What are you going to do?
As a Full-Stack Software Developer at Nedap Healthcare, you will work on the further development and scaling of Nedap Luna, a digital day calendar that supports people with cognitive impairments or dementia in their daily lives. You will work in a product environment where software, hardware, and user research are closely intertwined.
A key part of your role is developing and supporting a New Generation of Hardware. This involves working on fundamental technical changes, such as introducing a new communication protocol, supporting a non-standard screen format (including redesigning the rendering engine), and integrating speech for audio-based announcements. At the same time, you ensure that our architecture can support multiple hardware generations in parallel, without compromising stability or maintainability.
In addition, you will contribute to further professionalizing our platform for a rapidly growing user base. This includes setting up infrastructure for usage analytics, improving activation and onboarding flows, and implementing large-scale interface redesigns. You develop end-to-end functionality: from backend services in Kotlin/Java (Spring) to front-end implementations in Vue, continuously balancing performance, scalability, and user experience.
In this role, you combine hands-on development with contributing to technical direction and long-term architecture, within a product landscape that is deliberately becoming more complex.
Your responsibilities
You design and implement new features based on real-world insights from healthcare professionals and clients, across both front-end and backend.
Your team
We strongly believe in a thoughtful development approach. By expanding the team, we create room for research, prototyping, and validation, for example through a “tick-tock” cadence, where one developer focuses on stable delivery while another explores, prototypes, or validates future work. This directly improves decision-making, quality, and long-term maintainability.

What's in it for you?

At Nedap, everything revolves around trust and autonomy. That’s why, along with your colleagues, you decide on your own working hours and vacation days to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
