What are you going to do?

Do you feel at home in hardware engineering and do you get energy from developing and maintaining products that are used in practice every day? As a Hardware Engineer, you will work on the further development and maintenance of an attractive and diverse product group, with a focus on quality and reliability. You have a penchant for following solid processes and derive satisfaction from ensuring that not only the product but also the documentation is perfect down to the last detail. Together, we work towards a single goal: improving life on the farm. 

As a Hardware Engineer in the FarmControl team, you will work on a broad and technically challenging product portfolio within the agricultural sector. You will contribute to both the development of new products and the optimisation and maintenance of existing solutions, including ID, Sorting, Milking, Feeding and Vision.   

You will be part of our R&D department, where we embrace an agile mindset. We are flexible in order to respond adequately to relevant developments. This applies to both internal and external developments. Being constantly on the move requires our employees to have a pragmatic and agile mindset.

Your responsibilities

You will go through the entire product development process from idea to delivery. Your tasks will include:

Drawing up technical requirements and specifications, including test requirements.

The salary range for this role is between € 3.700 and € 5.500 gross per month based on full-time employment (38 hours) and depends on relevant knowledge and experience. In addition to your salary, you’ll receive a thirteenth month’s pay, a solid pension plan, and profit sharing with the opportunity to become a Nedap shareholder.

Required skills

As a Hardware Engineer, you have a keen eye for detail and take a structured approach to the further development and maintenance of existing products. You take ownership of your work and ensure that quality and reliability are guaranteed. At the same time, you are a team player: you coordinate, share knowledge and involve colleagues in your considerations. You communicate easily with colleagues inside and outside the team and liaise independently with suppliers when necessary.

You also recognise yourself in the following:
  • Work experience and education: You have demonstrable experience as a Hardware Engineer and a higher professional education (HBO) or university degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with the hardware development cycle: You have experience in designing and further developing electronic circuits, reading and drawing up schematics, and laying out PCBs.
  • (Pre) RF Technology and analogue circuits: An affinity with and knowledge of RF technology and analogue circuits is an advantage.
  • Language skills: You are fluent in Dutch and English.
Good to know: You are available for 32 to 38 hours per week. Hybrid working is common at Nedap and you and your team will agree on your working hours to ensure a good work/life balance.
