What are you going to do?

As an Interim Tech Lead you'll be responsible for getting our planning/roster application to multitenancy and to Nomad. Our roster & planning application is currently single tenant, running on physical hardware. To be able to move to Nomad, we'll need to move to a multitenant situation with as little impact on current customers as possible. The plan to get there is already in place, but because this is a legacy system, unexpected results can happen, making the planning and problems coming hard to predict. 
Once this migration is done, a vacancy will open up for a fixed-term tech lead. Because the skillset required for the tech lead is different from doing this migration project, we've chosen to make this a separate vacancy for an expected period of one and a half year.

Your responsibilities

You lead the migration from a single-tenant architecture to a multitenant setup and guide the transition to Nomad. You provide technical direction, make architectural decisions, and ensure alignment across the remote team.

Your team

The tech team is a small, close knit team, that collaborates closely. There are 2 teams working on the planning and roster application, so you'll need to align and share information with those teams. Our tech team works remotely most of the time.

Required skills

  • Experience: You have experience with Ruby, and Ruby on Rails; 
  • Sound Solutions: You have experience with coming up with future proof, architecturally sound solutions and realizing them; 
  • Complex applications: You like to dive deep into complex applications; 
  • Communication an Collaboration: You have excellent communicative and collaborative skills; 
  • Migration: You can work systematically to migrate old code and prevent interruptions to production environment. 
  • Language: Excellent command of Dutch and English is required.
