Key Account Sales Executive - Belux

What are you going to do?

As Key Account Sales Executive, your primary focus is on generating new customers within the Belux region (Belgium and Luxembourgh). You sit at the table of large and well-known organisations, such as multinationals and public bodies, where large scale and complexity come together. You play a central role in the sales process, following up leads, analysing customer challenges and successfully closing deals.

Your responsibilities

As a true hunter, you are focused on closing deals with customers that are new to our SaaS security solutions. This includes:

Actively following up leads provided by marketing and SDRs, as well as making relevant connections with Key Accounts yourself.

Your team

You will become part of our Market-Solutions Team within our business unit Security with colleagues operating both from our headquarters (in the Netherlands) and remotely from different parts of Europe. This team includes commercial professionals along the entire customer journey. Think Marketing, SDR, Sales, Implementation Consultants and Customer Success. 

The Market-Solutions Team is led by our Market-Solutions Director and is responsible for growing our business at Key Accounts with a strong focus on SaaS sales. You will be coached by our Sales Director, with whom you will have weekly contact about ongoing projects. 

In this role, you will also work closely together with other sales, channel development and support colleagues in the Belux region, from our office in Vilvoorde. 

Communication with team members can take place both in the office and online. We meet as Market-Solutions Team at least several times a year to exchange experiences, celebrate successes and discuss plans and progress.

Required skills

You are a commercially driven go-getter with a true hunter mentality: you gain energy from acquiring new customers and building long-term relationships. With your excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities, you know how to build trust with prospects and customers. You have an affinity with consultative selling and enjoy working closely with colleagues to achieve the best possible outcome for the customer. You think in opportunities, are persuasive, and are not easily discouraged.

  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in selling (software) services (subscriptions) and complex solutions.
  • Education: You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree (HBO/WO level) in a commercial field or have a comparable background.
  • Languages: You are fluent in Dutch, French, and English, with strong knowledge of the Belgian and Luxembourg markets.
  • Key qualities: Perseverance and creativity to successfully manage and close long and complex sales cycles.
