What are you going to do?

As Product and Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for developing a clear product strategy and vision for one of the key solution domains within our Livestock portfolio. This can be either: 

- our Cow Monitoring Platform (Nedap CowControl – Dairy Farming), or 
- our Integrated Farm Solutions, where we integrate Nedap products with the solutions of our business partners.
 
In both cases, you help us create scalable solutions that add tangible value for dairy farmers worldwide. You work from the shared ambition of our Livestock business unit and connect colleagues from sales, R&D, support and external partners to make clear choices together. 
You translate market and partner insights, as well as technological developments, into a roadmap that provides direction and clarity in a dynamic playing field. You make choices explicit, substantiate them with a solid business case and ensure buy-in from stakeholders. In this way, you help to make our solutions valuable in practice more quickly and effectively.

You take the lead in the process of making decisions about strategy, solutions and roadmaps.

Within Product & Portfolio Management (PPM), you will work on the core of our product strategy and the portfolio of our solutions. PPM forms the connecting link between market, technology and business. The team consists of three streams: Cow Monitoring Platform, Integrated Farm Solutions and Business Support. Together, the Product Managers ensure that our solutions and roadmaps fit together seamlessly and reinforce each other. 
You will work closely with colleagues from the broader Strategy & Business Transformation group, which also includes Business Transformation, Pricing & Revenue Management and Market Intelligence. In addition, you will have intensive contact with international colleagues and partners who are close to our end users in the focus countries, as well as with account managers, solution owners and product owners. In this way, we harness the full power of Nedap to better support our customers every day.

Required skills

  • At least 5 years of experience in guiding strategic decision-making in a multidisciplinary context; 
  • Skilled in connecting commerce, support and R&D; 
  • The ability to translate customer insights and partner feedback into clear solutions; 
  • A structured way of working; you know how to make choices visual and understandable; 
  • Experience in drawing up business cases, including financial substantiation; 
  • Experience with go-to-market strategy and connecting technical delivery with market introductions; 
  • You maintain an overview, think in scenarios and provide direction without dominating; 
  • Affinity with (or experience in) dairy farming, agricultural technology or industrial partnerships is a strong plus.
