Software Test Engineer
What are you going to do?
There is a continuous flow of new features. As a Software Test Engineer, you are closely involved in the development of these and are partly responsible for setting up and expanding test automation. Together with your team, you determine which tests will be automated and at what level. This requires a keen eye and gives you a lot of influence on the quality of our solutions.
Besides the test activities within your own team, there are also regular solutions on which you work with several teams. In your role, you have a good overview of cross-team activities concerning testing and quality and know which test scenarios apply when a complete chain test needs to take place.
Technology
The technology we use within Nedap Livestock is mainly in the Microsoft corner with the hosting of the platform being hosted by Azure. Software is rolled out via CI/CD pipelines to several regions. In terms of test automation, we use, among others, the test frameworks NUnit and Playwright in combination with Reqnroll, where the tests run on the integration, front-end and end-to-end layers.
Your responsibilities
Your team
As a Software Test Engineer, you will work a lot with your development team. This team consists of a Product Owner, UX designer and developers. There is a friendly atmosphere and a lot of cooperation within the team. Everyone is involved from the start in the products the team works on, which ensures high functional and technical quality.
You are also part of the Test discipline group. This consists of other testers who also work in the cloud R&D teams at Livestock. The purpose of this discipline group is to inform and inspire each other regarding cross-team items, your work within your team, challenges within the discipline, but also training courses and events that would be interesting for our test discipline.
