Cyber Security Engineer
What are you going to do?
“You will not just build here. You will make sure security works as a whole.” – Tom Schneider, IT Architect
At Nedap, cyber security is not a separate domain. It is an integral part of how we develop and use technology. The foundation is in place: our controls, monitoring, and compliance are well established.
The next step is fundamentally different. We are moving toward one coherent, risk-driven security system that continuously improves.
As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will play a key role in this. You combine technical depth with overview: you implement solutions and make sure everything fits together logically and contributes to our digital resilience.
You will work internationally across IT and OT environments and collaborate with IT teams, architects, and external partners. You take ownership, set priorities, and help structurally raise the level of security within Nedap.
Tech stack: You will work with tools and environments such as Microsoft Defender and SOC/SIEM, in collaboration with external partners.
Your responsibilities
Your team
You will work within the central IT and security domain and collaborate closely with colleagues from SOC, architecture, and infrastructure. You will also work with the CISO, Group Information Security Officer, and other stakeholders.
Security at Nedap is organized both centrally and within business unit teams. This creates speed and entrepreneurship around market-specific requirements, while also asking for coherence. You help create that connection.
“Our control framework is set up centrally, and that is exactly what makes this role dynamic. You are constantly working with different stakeholders across the group.”
Nedap is international, and our mix of people and cultures makes us unique. It is the strength of these ideas and the energy they create that help us build Technology for Life: technology that helps people become happier and more successful in their work. We do this from our headquarters, the Nedap Campus in Groenlo, and from 11 locations around the world. Nedap was founded in 1929 and has been listed on Euronext Amsterdam since 1947.
