

Kotlin Backend Developer
What are you going to do?
As a Backend Developer in the MediKIT team, you will work on a general practitioner information system fully based on HL7 FHIR. You will develop scalable backend functionality and integrations with external healthcare providers, all using open standards. Within this small, multidisciplinary team, you will take on a lot of responsibility and initiative. Together, we are scaling MediKIT to contribute to better general practitioner care.
Tech stack: HL7 FHIR, Java/Kotlin, PostgreSQL, JSON storage, Kubernetes, Azure, GitHub Actions. Our frontend is built with React and TypeScript.

Required skills
As a Backend Developer, you play a key role in MediKIT’s success. You love building applications that contribute to the future of general practitioner care. You’re a problem-solver with a passion for scalable technology.
You also recognise yourself in the following:
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience developing backend applications.
- Scalability: Experience in designing or refactoring scalable systems.
- Integration: Familiarity with building integrations via standards such as FHIR.
- Tech skills: Experience with Kubernetes, Azure, GitHub Actions, Java/Kotlin, PostgreSQL and JSON storage is a plus.
- Fullstack: Experience with React and TypeScript is a plus.
Good to know: This role is for 32–38 hours per week. Hybrid working is common at Nedap. Together with your team, you coordinate your working hours for a healthy work-life balance. You are expected to be present at least once a week on our campus in Groenlo or at one of our hubs.
