Groenlo, Netherlands
32 - 38 hrs
€ 4.500 - € 7.000

What are you going to do?

"Do you want to build mobile apps used daily by thousands of store associates worldwide while elevating a team to the next technical level? As a Team Lead Mobile Development at Nedap Retail, you combine deep mobile expertise with leadership. You don’t just drive delivery, you drive quality, scalability, and performance."

At Nedap Retail, you work on mobile applications that have a direct impact on the shop floor of global brands such as Hugo Boss, lululemon, G-Star RAW, and Under Armour. Our apps operate in environments where speed, reliability, and usability are critical.

As a Team Lead Mobile Development, you are responsible for both the technical direction and the growth of your team. You actively contribute to architectural decisions, safeguard performance, and ensure continuous improvement. At the same time, you create an environment where engineers take ownership and thrive.

About Nedap Retail. Store associates spend a lot of time searching for products and managing inventory. With our iD Cloud platform and RFID technology, we provide real-time visibility in-store. This reduces operational friction and allows staff to focus on what matters most: the customer. Our mobile apps are a crucial part of this ecosystem.

Nedap Retail is growing rapidly and plays a key role in the digital transformation of retail. Our international customer base continues to expand, and our mobile stack evolves along with it. You will have the space to shape this direction.

As a Team Lead Mobile Development, you work on:

  • scalable and robust mobile architectures
  • high-performance apps in complex retail environments
  • improving developer experience and development velocity

Your responsibilities

You lead a team of mobile engineers and ensure focus, ownership, and technical growth. You help engineers improve their craft and foster a culture where quality is a given.

You make and justify decisions on architecture, frameworks, and tooling. You have a clear vision of mobile development and apply it pragmatically.

You actively drive code quality, performance, and maintainability. You initiate improvements in CI/CD, testing, and release processes and elevate the mobile domain.

You collaborate closely with Product, UX, and backend teams. You ensure technical decisions align with product goals and balance speed with quality.

Your team

You will be part of an international team of Android and iOS developers responsible for all mobile applications within Retail. The team works with modern technologies and is continuously evolving. Your role is both technical and coaching: you act as a sparring partner for senior engineers, help guide technical discussions, and contribute to the broader mobile strategy within Nedap. The working language is English, and you collaborate with cross-functional teams across different locations.
