Electronics Specialist

Groenlo, Netherlands
32 - 38 hrs
€ 3.000 - € 4.500

What are you going to do?

As an Electronics Specialist at Nedap, you play an important role in ensuring the quality and consistency of all PCB designs within our organization. You support our R&D teams by maintaining reliable component libraries, clear design guidelines, and a streamlined design process. In doing so, you contribute directly to scalable and future-proof hardware development.

In this role, you work closely with experienced R&D engineers who develop PCBs for a wide range of applications. The complexity varies from 2-layer to 12-layer designs (with 4-layer as the mainstream), involving technologies such as high-power, high-voltage, high-speed, RFID, and HF.

You are not responsible for independently designing PCBs. Instead, you ensure that designs meet quality standards, are manufacturable, and align well with production processes. You will also have the opportunity to further professionalize and standardize our PCB design methodology. In doing so, you will develop into the specialist within Nedap in the field of PCB design quality and tooling.

Your responsibilities

Maintain and develop component libraries across different systems such as PLM, Altium, and SolidWorks.

Review PCB designs and identify potential issues early, so they can be resolved together with R&D.

After a design is released, generate and store manufacturing data in our PLM environment.

Create 3D models of PCB assemblies in SolidWorks based on released bills of materials.

Support R&D engineers with questions related to PCB design methodology and tooling.

Manage PCB design software such as Altium and Pulsonix, including updates, user management, and maintenance of server and client software.

Manage lifecycle changes of components and ensure compliance data such as RoHS and REACH remains up to date.

Your team

You will become part of the PLM team, a central team that plays an important role in supporting hardware development within Nedap. The team ensures that R&D engineers can work with reliable data, well-configured tools, and consistent processes.

The team currently consists of specialists, including PCB design specialists, a PLM application manager, and a CAD application manager. Together, you operate at the intersection of R&D and IT and work closely with other teams such as IT Infrastructure and the Service Desk.
