What are you going to do?
At Nedap, we create Technology for Life: technology that helps people work more safely, efficiently, and comfortably. Within our Security business unit, we are developing the next generation of access readers that bridge the physical and digital world.
For this internship or graduation project, you will help us explore and implement a modern standard for mobile access on our embedded platforms. Smartphones are increasingly replacing traditional access cards, creating new possibilities for secure and user-friendly access management.
You will investigate how this technology works at protocol and embedded level, analyse the security implications, and translate specifications into a reliable implementation on our hardware. From architecture and embedded software development to validation and testing — you will be involved throughout the entire process.

Required skills
- You are pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- You have experience with C/C++ and embedded software development.
- You are interested in security and secure communication.
- You enjoy exploring and deeply understanding new technologies.
- Experience with wireless communication technologies such as NFC or BLE is a plus.
- You are proactive, analytical, and comfortable working independently.
