€ 5.000 - € 7.500

What are you going to do?

As Tech Area Lead Data, you will shape the technical vision and strategy for data within Livestock. Together with your team, you will determine how we further develop our data architecture, platforms and technical solutions, so that we can continue to derive value from our data in a scalable and sustainable way in the future.

Our Livestock system connects what happens on the farm with our cloud environment. IoT, computer vision, hardware and edge computing generate large volumes of data. This data helps us to provide dairy farmers worldwide with ever-better insights into their animals, processes and business operations.

In this role, you will ensure that our data capability is ready for the next step. You will bring together the expertise of Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Data Analysts and Computer Vision Engineers, and help them work together to turn data into valuable insights. In this way, you will help build technology that enables dairy farmers to better support their businesses and their animals.

Your responsibilities

Technical Product Area Architect

You will acquire and apply in-depth knowledge of the architectural context within Livestock, both in a broad sense and specifically in relation to data platforms, tooling and pipelines.

You will develop and maintain the technical vision and strategic development roadmap for Data.

You will ensure the coherence, scalability and future-proofing of our technical choices within the data domain.

You will provide substantive guidance to the various data disciplines, bring their expertise together and help teams make choices that align with the technical vision for Data.

You work closely with the teams to create sustainable technical solutions and working methods.

You develop and maintain the vision and strategy for data pipelines, data platforms and analysis.

You challenge the teams to extract insights from data and develop new models in a high-quality and repeatable manner.

Your team

As Tech Area Lead Data, you form part of the TLT (Technical Leadership Team) alongside the Tech Area Leads (Software and Hardware) and the Head of Tech, and with the support of the Agile Coach. Together, you are responsible for the overall technical strategy and vision. You are also closely involved in the data disciplines.

Together with the People Captains, you and the TLT form part of CaptainsXL and help to translate the strategy from the Head of Tech to the teams. You share leadership with the People Captains regarding the people within self-organising teams, whilst you contribute the subject-matter and technical perspective.

You will also work closely with our Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Data Analysts and Computer Vision Engineers. You will act as a subject-matter sparring partner for them and help to connect the various disciplines.
